Merrill's

Addison turned one in Disneyland. We spent the entire day there. We took one present and gave it to her. Then we stopped at an ice cream shop in Disneyland and got Ice Cream Sundays and cookies. After we got home we invited the grandparents over and had cake and opened the rest of her presents. She wasn't a big fan of the cake like my other kids. But she loved eating ice cream. Time has gone by so fast, I can't believe my baby is one!!

Jr. Jazz

Tate really liked basketball, he said he liked it even more than football. Which hurt Coach Kalun's feelings for a minute, but he recovered. He was pretty timid in the first few games since he had never played. But Kalun started taking him to practice and they would play with older kids and Tate all of the sudden figured it out and got pretty good by the end. He was making baskets, and dribbling like crazy, but he's best talent was defense, no one could score on him. Tate and Haylie are starting soccer soon, I'm really excited. I love being a "soccer mom" and going to watch my kids play sports, it is so fun

Kalun's B-day

For Kalun's birthday we went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse, then we made him get on the saddle while everyone sang to him, too bad he never gets embarassed. He loved the attention. I would've hated it. Then Tate had a basketball game. Our friend dressed up like Lenny the Lion (Lehi Legacy Center's mascot) and came out and brought Kalun balloons, the kids loved it. Kalun had no idea it was our friend dressed up, it was pretty funny.

Big Al Jefferson

We got some tickets to go to a Jazz meet and greet. Kalun decided it was a great chance for a boys night. I was a little jealous I'm not gonna lie, but they had so much fun together. Tate is turning into a mini Kalun and has started to really watch and cheer for the Jazz and BYU. He thought it was so awesome to go meet a Jazz player. He thought he was HUGE!

Christmas 2010

We had a very good Christmas. We were excited to have just moved in and have Christmas in our new home. I even had three trees up and decorated. It was so fun to watch the kids, the older they get the funner it is as they are able to understand it all. Addison did really good opening presents, she just watched everyone else for awhile and then dug in.

Nativity

It was the year of Mary and Joseph. Tate was asked to be Joseph in our many nativities. He took some convincing because he already thinks he's getting "too cool" to have to participate. Haylie on the other hand couldn't have been happier to play Mary repeatedly. She loved holding baby and smiling for the camera. Kyli was even a good sport and participated.

Santa

Moving

Selling, buying, moving, was crazy. It was a whirlwind process that kept throwing us curve balls. We loved that house, Kalun and I designed alot of it, so it was sad to say good-bye. It was also hard to leave such an amazing ward with people we loved so much. But we really felt like we were supposed to move, and we found a beautiful home that was bank owned. We feel very blessed to have had everything work out. I haven't taken a single picture of our new home but we love it. 2 weeks after moving in we were hosting Christmas parties, shortly after, new year's eve party, followed by a super bowl party. So I would say we are breaking in the new place. The kids have struggled a little, missing their friends, but are making lots of new friends and adjusting well. We are really liking our new neighborhood. I really feel that we were guided to our new home and I am loving getting to know new people. Maybe sometime I will get around to taking some pics and posting them.

Halloween

Tate's costume is an old dress up outfit of Kalun's he found at grandma's house right before halloween. Haylie wanted to be the dragon just because it was pink. Addi is the lion.
