Vegas

Kalun and I went to Vegas last weekend for his football tournament. For those of you that don't know Kalun plays on a pro flag football team. We decided to leave the kids at grandma's house. It was a very fast weekend, but we had a blast. We got to Vegas late Friday night and got home late Sunday night (or early Monday morning I guess). Kalun's team played really well. They won 4 of their 5 games and made it to the semi-finals. They even beat some nationally ranked teams before losing in the semi's to the #1 team in the nation with seconds left in the game. It was so fun to be able to watch his games, usually if I go to his games I'm chasing the kids on the sidelines and don't get to watch as much as I would like. We also found time to play. We hung out on the strip whenever we had a free minute. We bought an unlimited pass for the New York New York roller coaster and did it repeatedly until I had bruises from the restraints. We also went to my favorite place, M & M world!! Here are some pics from our weekend (Kalun is #53)...

More itty bitty ball

So we finished Tate's latest itty bitty ball adventure. He really enjoyed this one. It was nice because it was a mix of 5 different sports so there was a lot of variety. Soccer was one of his favorites.
Haylie the cheerleader...
The proud Graduates...Tate and two of his buddies who were on his team.

Little Mommy

Haylie is a very girly girl. This is strange for me, I've always been more of the tomboy type. It has been so funny to watch her lately. She is just getting old enough to have a funny little imagination. Her latest thing is her dolls. They are very much her little babies. She always wants to change their diapers. So all of her dolls have her diapers on. She is such a good little mommy!!

It's Itty Bitty Ball Time Again

We have been loving having Tate participate in itty ball every couple of months. This time around it incorporates 5 sports instead of just 1. The first day was baseball. He hasn't played baseball before, but he did really good.

The next day was basketball. Tate didn't like basketball much when he did it before so I was nervous he wouldn't do it. But, he got right in and remembered some of the things they had done and played well. This is Tate and his buddy Tanner trying to play defense.
The next day was football. This was Tate's favorite itty bitty sport so far. So he was really excited to do it again. They rotate through stations practicing and learning, then they scrimage at the end. The best part was the scrimage. My friend Laura's little boy was soooo funny. They were scrimaging, they took turns getting the ball and had to run to the goal line and try not to have their flags taken off by the other team. So it was Logan's turn to run with the ball, instantly this kid swarms him trying to get his flag. Well bless Logan's heart he was not going to let this kid take his flag so he stops and just starts hitting him. It was so funny!!! So for those of you who know Laura you'll have to watch her blog because she was videoing the whole thing and I'm sure she'll post it soon.

The next classes are soccer, volleyball, and a game day so I'm sure I'll have more pictures later.

A moment to vent...

I am so tired of everything breaking down all the time!!! I swear everytime we turn around someting else needs to be fixed. Whether it be our entire HVAC in our house, our car, our suv (that we keep trying to fix but haven't actually won the battle), our water heater, our TV, etc., etc., etc. I swear everytime I think we are finally on top of things something else breaks down. I keep wondering where all our money goes and then I remember all the stuff we have to keep fixing. I'm starting to feel like we need our own Macgyver on staff to be at our beckon call. Anyway, I wish venting actually solved problems, but oh well.
