Cute Kids

I really am blessed with amazing kids. Tate and Haylie just adore Addison. They are always so good with her. They wake up every morning so excited to see her. So most mornings they wake up before Addison, but as soon as they hear her start to wake up they run into her room and jump in the crib with her and start playing with her. They are so funny.

Annual Lehi City Parade

Our ward did a float for the parade and Tate got to ride on it. He's on the front with the funny pig nose. Haylie had such a good time. She's so funny, all she had to do was smile and wave all cute and everybody would come over and give her stuff. She took home quite a load.

2010 Strawberry Days Rodeo/Wild Cow Milking

So my youngest brother is the coolest. I just love him to death. He's all about living life and trying things and having fun. So him and 2 friends decided why not be in the rodeo doing wild cow milking. Well, I wasn't going to miss it, so we all went to watch. I do have to say it was about the funniest thing I have ever watched. The announcers were having a fun time making fun of them because they tie-dyed these kind of cowboy looking shirts, then went to Walmart and bought $5 bright red cowboy hats. I guess some of the "real cowboys" were not happy because they thought the city slickers were mocking them, but I thought they looked awesome.

Ohhh Bowser

Well the time came that we had to give away our beautiful dog. It was very sad and the kids are still sad, but they were all afraid of him. He was a very playful puppy the problem was he was huge. We tried hard to train him, we worked forever with him to try to get him not to bark and finally had to get a bark collar. But even that became tolerable, but he always jumped on everyone. So, Tate and Haylie were afraid of him because he was so big he'd just plow them over. They loved to pet him through the window so he couldn't jump on them. The sad thing is that even though they were kind of afraid of him they still loved him so much. But we finally decided that since the dog had taken over the whole back yard and the kids wouldn't even go out there with him, it wasn't fair for the kids or the dog. If Kalun didn't travel so much I think we could've kept him and kept working with him but with Kalun gone all the time it just became to hard. So, we actually sold him to this girl who lives at home still on this huge farm. He will be very happy there with horses, cows, and other dogs to play with. But, it has been harder than I thought and we all miss him.

Like Mother like daughter.....

I guess bad habits really can be inherited. I was totally a finger sucker just like that forever. I always try to take her fingers out of her mouth and give her a binki but she won't take one hardly ever. Every morning I go in and find her sucking her fingers. This is bad because you can't take those away like you can binki's. But it is kind of cute to watch.

Tate's 5th Birthday

This was the first year we let Tate have a friend party. He was so excited to turn 5and have a party. He was counting down days for a long time. The only problem was that he has too many friends. There are so many kids his age in our neighborhood!! We had to narrow it to kids that live on our street, then he had some friends from preschool, cousins, and friends that are kids to our friends. Needless to say his party was utter chaos with a lot of kids!! We played lots of fun games though and the kids were hilarious. We also had pizza and cupcakes with ice cream. I think it was a success. Thankfully Addison slept through the whole thing or I don't know if I would have survived. Then we made his favorite food, this meat and penne pasta bake, then grandparents and some friends came over for cake and ice cream. I was exhausted!! But, Tate had a really good day.

Graduations

It's so hard to believe, but Kyli graduated from 6th grade!! I wish the school had done something special but they didn't. I am so proud of her school is difficult for her but she always tries very hard and doesn't give up. I can't believe she will be going to junior high this fall, I am terrified for her! Tate graduated from preschool. They did the cutest graduation ceremony. His cousin Ashley went to his same preschool which was nice because we carpooled all year. They were so cute and so excited, Tate can't wait to start Kindergarten.

Haylie's 3rd Birthday

Haylie had a fun birthday. For her birthday dinner she wanted a happy meal so we all went to Mcdonald's for dinner then we had a couple friends and grandparents over for cake and ice cream. Haylie is such a girly-girl, which is very weird for me because I was not. However, thanks to Haylie I find myself becoming more girly, I used to hate pink and now I love it. Haylie just wanted anything with Dora, princesses, or Barbie. She got a little of all three...

Spring Ball

Tate played itty bitty baseball this spring. Kyli played on a a city league softball team called the Tigers.

Bye-Bye Training Wheels

The end of March we reached two very huge milestones. Tate and Kyli both learned to ride 2 wheel bikes. Tate had been begging since last fall to take off his training wheels but I was sick and pregnant and didn't want to run up and down the road 50 times so I kept putting it off. Well, one night Kalun took them off after months of begging and Tate took off down the driveway and that was it. He was a natural. Kyli had never learned to ride a bike (I know that's crazy, but true). So, when she saw Tate doing it I was able to convince her to try. She wasn't so sure at first and it did take a little running up and down the road but she caught on. Now they are both professionals. Kyli enjoys riding around the block by herself, and Tate is a maniac trying to pop wheelies and jump curbs. We have to threaten him every night to ground his bike to get him to come inside.

Not a Doll

No that is not a doll, it is Addison. We learned she fits rather well in Haylie's doll stroller. The funniest thing is that Addison loves it. So when I need to get something done and the kids are needing something to do I put her in the stroller and everyone is happy!

Easter 2010

Easter is getting more fun each year. This year was fun because the kids were bigger so they are starting to get really good at Easter egg hunts and it's funny to watch. But it was also fun because we were able to talk a lot about Christ and the real meaning of Easter time.

Addison's First Photo Shoot

Our neighbor has her own photography company and offered to come take pictures of Addison. This is right before she was 2 weeks old so she'd be sleepy, except the probem was that she was wide awake. My poor neighbor was determined to get cute pictures and she was so patient but Addison was not very cooperative. However you wouldn't know by looking at the pictures because they turned out great. So thanks to my wonderful neighbor Connie and if anyone needs any kind of pictures done (kids, family, wedding, etc.) I'd love to refer you to her just let me know.

Girls Day

My sis-in-law had a baby girl in January who they named Britnee. They also have a little girl named Kinsie. We hadn't had a chance to go up and see them since they had Britnee, but she came down here this week and we got all the girls together. It was pretty funny to have all of us hanging out, there is all of the sudden an awful lot of girls in our family. It will be so fun for them as they are growing up to have cousins so close in age. I can't wait for them to get bigger so they can play together.
